You can pay less Council Tax if you have extra space in your home to meet the needs of a disabled person.
If you are eligible, your bill will be reduced to the next lowest Council Tax band. If you are already on the lowest band, you will get 16.5% off your bill.
Who can apply
You can apply if your home has any of the following:
- extra space for the use of a wheelchair
- a second bathroom
- a second kitchen
- another room to meet the needs of the disabled person
The above must be essential for the wellbeing of the disabled person.
